A tour of Athens will commence with the changing of the Euzonoi Guards in front of the Parlament in Syntagma sq. –the central historical square of the city. From there you will view the monument of the unknown soldier and then you will enjoy a pleasant walk through the National Gardens, see views of the Neoclassical Zappeion Mansion, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the old district of Plaka.
The tour will continue with a visit of the Acropolis where you will see the Propylea, the Temple of Nike, the Parthenon, the wonders of the Golden Age of Pericles. You will also have a breathtaking view of surrounding are, including the Athenian Agora, the Observatory, the Hill of Democracy (Pnyx), the Hills of Philopappos and Mars, the Odeion of Herodus Atticus and the Theatre of Dionyssos whwre ancient Greek drama was first staged. The tour ends on the hill of Acropolis.
