captures the visitors interest, thanks to the great variety of choices offer here. There is something for everyone, whether one is demanding or unprepared a night owl, a typical world traveler or a nature lover; “holidays” here can mean anything from the most
peaceful relaxation to the wildest partying.
Located on the islands’ western harbor, the “Chora” of Mykonos is a very beautiful old
island town, which in the past had its own merchant fleet. Today miraculously, it maintains
a balance between tourism-related development and the preservation of its very picturesque features.

Day 06: Santorini
Transfer from Mykonos hotel to the port for ferry departure to the island of Santorini…
Great poets have sung its praises, a 4.000 year old history. And the eternal rock continues
to stand, strong and majestic, rising proudly from the sea and guarding well the secrets of
Atlantis...
The world famous island of Santorini is the southern most island of the Cycladic group in the Aegean Sea, and is located 63 nautical miles north of Crete.
Its surface area is 73 sq. km. and its population, distributed among thirteen villages, just
exceeds thirteen thousand six hundred people, according to the census of 2001.
It is the most active volcanic centre in the Aegean Arc, though what remains today is largely a caldera. The name Santorini was given to it by the Venetians in the 13th century
and is a reference to Saint Irene. Before then it was called Kallisti, Strongili or Thera.
The island was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions of the last several thousand years when it erupted cataclysmically about 3,500 years ago. The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by ash deposits hundreds of feet deep, and its effects may have indirectly led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete, to the south
It has also been said that the sunsets in Santorini are the best in the world…
…From the Caldera breathtaking views of the volcano & neighbouring islands.
From the east, miles of dark sandy or pebbled beaches. Everywhere one sees small domed churches and remnants of days gone by.
This is Santorini seen through the eyes of people who know & love it ...
Transfer from Athinios port of Santorini to your hotel on the island.

Day 07: Santorini
Day free in Santorini – optional tour to Volcano. Overnight in Santorini

Day 08: Crete / Heraklion
It is the day we leave the Cyclades islands to visit the biggest Greek island, Crete. Transfer from your Hotel in Santorini to the por for the ferry to Crete.
Arrival in Crete, transfer from the port to your hotel.
Crete, is the place where the Minoan culture was born and evoluted. The land where Xenios Zeus was born. Crossroad of sea ways and cultures. From here passed Arabs, Venetians and Turks. With a key role, on the 2nd World War, with the battle of Crete changing the course of the war and hence the history of the world. The island of Domenico Theotokopoulos "El Greco", Nikos Kazantzakis and Eleytherios Venizelos.
Our first stay is Heraklion town, the 4th  biggest city of Greece.

Day 09: Heraklion
In the morning visit the well-known archaeological Palace of Knossos which is situated only 3miles away from the town’s center and is believed to be the largest and most suggestive Minoan site ever discovered in Crete.
It was built for King Minos 4000years ago. A visit to the Archaeological Museum, the only place in the world, where great pieces of art prevent the cultural birth of Europe exhibits a fine display of Minoan culture discovered during the excavations of Knossos.
Rest of the day free. Overnight at the hotel in Heraklion.

Day 10: Chania
After Breakfast we depart from Heraklion to Chania town on the west side of Crete approximately 2 ½ hours drive. It is said that Chania is the most poetic city of Crete.
When you walk through it leaves you with a pleasant taste of beauty. Built on the ruins of ancient Kidonia it has seen and survived many invaders, but has also tasted civilizations
that left their marks on building faces, castles, walls, antiquities, monasteries and churches.

The city has two entrances: the airport of Akrotiri, and the port of Souda (the largest in
the Mediterranean). The public market holds a master place in the centre of the city, a brilliant cross-shaped building that was completed in 1913, and in proportion with the
one in Marseilles.
Near the city centre the Public Garden awaits you next to the "Peace and Friendship of the people" park. The gardens are the prettiest in Crete, and also the public garden offers a small zoo with animals from Cretan fauna.
The Venetian port picturesque any time and season is attractive to visitors and locals, for it's beauty and for it's choices of entertainment for all tastes and demands. The old city "intramural" districts preserve their Venetian nobility. Narrow paved alleys are surrounded with tasteful renewed houses, from various ages, are offered for a pleasant walk. Many neoclassic houses are also saved in districts which "neighbor" with the city of Chania, like Halepa.  Check in at the hotel.
Free Afternoon walk into the Venetian part of the city.  Overnight at Chania.
